Join us for the Opening Ceremony of "On Freedom's Wings" the Lancaster Bomber Sculpture, a landmark created to honour Lincolnshire's rich history as "Bomber County" and its many airfields which were bases for the famous Lancaster Bomber during the war. This gathering marks the official opening of this incredible feat of engineering. 

Designed to remind all who see as they pass by her at the Gateway to Lincolnshire, of the role & significance of the Lancaster Bomber in wartime history & the lives saved & sacrifices made by all those crews involved.

This wonderful afternoon situated in a marquee looking out over the sculpture & surrounding views, involves a Service of Dedication for "On Freedom's Wings" & talks from Charlie White Chairman of Trustees & various members of the teams involved in bringing this "supper table idea" to fruition.
